The Snyder Site (28WA528) is located in the Middle Delaware Valley, along the Delaware River at Carpentersville, New Jersey. Surface collections and limited excavations have produced evidence of Paleo thru Late woodland occupations by past members of Chapter #14. The site consists of several sites that cover a large area, much like the Plenge Site along the Musconetcong River. Because of renewed interest for a possible relationship between the Plenge site and the Snyder complex, members were invited to participate with archaeologist Jennifer C. Rankin and Temple University with an excavation. During the excavation, members were also displaying artifacts of public interest for tourists from the Delaware River Excursion.
